Instructor’s Room
This room is for the use of teachers, instructors and group leaders to enable them to plan for group visits. The museum personnel will be able to advise on matters of organization, and assist in preparing training programs for instructors and leaders.
Group Laboratory (Study Room)
This area provides space and equipment for independent experiments and research. An “Sunday Science” is held every sunday in this room.
Library and A-V Corner
The library has an extensive range of literature on natural and environmental science, and natural history. These books are suitable for children, the general reader and the specialist. There is also a well-stocked archive of reports and white papers compiled by universities and other research institutions. In addition, there are periodicals in related fields of study. In the A-V corner, there are four video booths where visitors can view software on a range of natural science subjects.
Seminar House
In the seminar room, orientation courses are available for first-time visitors. The Seminar House is situated in a quiet space surrounded by greenery. A rest area is provided where visitors can relax and have a snack.
Museum Restaurant “Le Cinq”
The restaurant is on the first floor. We take special pride in our menu that has a wide selection of dishes, including hamburger steak and Makunouchi box lunches. Children’s menus are also popular.
Museum Shop
The Museum Shop has a variety of original items for sale – T-shirts, mugs, cups, as well as attractive minerals and fossils. We look forward to seeing you there.
Roof Garden
From the Roof Garden you can see Sugao Marsh, Mt. Tsukuba and Mt. Fuji. Through a big telescope, you can observe the birds on the waters of Sugao Marsh.
